Editorial Policy
1. Introduction
Research in Pharmacy and Health Sciences (RPHS) [https://www.rphsonline.com; e-ISSN: 2455-5258] is an international, peer-reviewed open access journal dedicated to the dissemination of significant research in all areas of pharmacy and health sciences. We invite submissions of original research articles, review articles, case studies, short communications, and letters to the editor.
2. Open Access Policy
RPHS is committed to the open access model. All articles are freely available online immediately upon publication. Articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are credited. 3. Article Processing Indicators
RPHS operates with a transparent article processing system to ensure efficient and timely publication. Key indicators include:
- Initial Decision: Within 2 weeks of submission
- Peer Review Duration: 4-6 weeks
- Time from Acceptance to Publication: 2-3 weeks
4. Editorial Policy
RPHS maintains high standards for the quality and integrity of published research. The editorial policy ensures that all submitted manuscripts undergo rigorous peer review and ethical evaluation.
5. Editorial Process
Submission: Manuscripts must be submitted online via the RPHS submission system.
Initial Screening: The editorial team screens submissions for compliance with guidelines and relevance.
Peer Review: A double-blind peer review process is employed.
Decision: Based on reviewer feedback, the editorial board makes a decision (accept, minor revision, major revision, reject).
Revision: Authors may be required to revise their manuscript based on reviewer comments.
Publication: Upon acceptance, articles are processed for publication.
6. Plagiarism Policy
RPHS employs plagiarism detection software to screen submissions. Manuscripts containing plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, will be rejected. Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work.
7. Authorship Criteria
Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript.
8. Contribution Details
Authors must provide a detailed account of each author’s contribution to the work (e.g., research design, data analysis, manuscript preparation).
9. Covering Letter
A covering letter must accompany the manuscript, stating that the submission is original, has not been published or submitted elsewhere, and all authors have approved the manuscript.
10. Instructions to Authors
Authors should adhere to the following guidelines when preparing their manuscript for submission to RPHS.
11. Types of Articles
Original Research Articles: Comprehensive reports of original research (3000-5000 words).
Review Articles: Critical evaluations of existing research (4000-6000 words).
Case Studies: Detailed presentations of specific cases (1500-2500 words).
Short Communications: Brief reports of preliminary or innovative findings (1000-2000 words).
Letters to the Editor: Short, opinion-based pieces or responses to published articles (500-1000 words).
12. Submission of Manuscripts to RPHS
Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the RPHS online submission system. Ensure all required files are included (manuscript, cover letter, figures, tables).
13. Manuscript Preparation Guidelines
Format: Manuscripts should be prepared in MS Word, using a standard font (e.g., Times New Roman, 12 pt) and double-spaced.
Structure: Include Title Page, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, References.
Figures and Tables: High resolution, submitted separately.
14. Reference Format
Research in Pharmacy and Health Sciences (RPHS) adheres to the Vancouver referencing style for all submitted manuscripts. Authors must ensure that their references are formatted according to the Vancouver style guidelines. For detailed instructions on how to format references using the Vancouver style, please refer to the official guidelines.
General Guidelines:
Order and Numbering: References should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text. Each reference number should be in square brackets (e.g., [1], [2], [3]).
Authors: List up to six authors. If there are more than six authors, list the first six followed by “et al.”
Journal Titles: Use the abbreviated titles of journals according to the PubMed database.
DOIs: Include Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) when available.
Punctuation: Follow the exact punctuation as shown in the examples.

15. Conflicts of Interest / Competing Interests
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest. A statement regarding conflicts of interest should be included in the manuscript.
